Doctors are again urging Australians with COVID-19 symptoms to stay indoors and get tested as vaccine and mask requirements ease across the country.

Seven-day isolation for COVID-19 close contacts, compulsory masks for primary school students and the vaccine mandate for venues will be scrapped in Victoria, but masks will remain mandatory on public transport, in airports and health, aged care and justice settings.

Victoria’s easing of restrictions will have little impact on state’s aged care sector

While Victorian premier Daniel Andrews might have announced today that a raft of restrictions will be lifted for fully vaccinated Victorians from 11:59pm tonight, there will be no material changes for those living within and visiting residential aged care facilities.
