The United Workers Union is warning that WA Government public health orders mandating that all residential aged care workers are vaccinated against COVID-19 by September 17 will tip an already strained industry over the edge.
Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) says the decision to make vaccination of aged care workers mandatory reinforces the need to ensure doses are readily available and staff are supported to be vaccinated.
The Health Services Union (HSU) says the Government's plan to make vaccinations mandatory for aged care care workers will see the workforce crumble unless workers have an ironclad right to paid leave to receive the jab and recover.
