The need for the national awareness and training series promoting digital maturity and digitally-enabled care in the sector was identified by the Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council (ACIITC) in 2020 within the Capabilities in Aged & Community Care Readiness: an Evaluation of Innovation & Technology (CARE-IT) project.
Among many of the 2020 CARE-IT report recommendations, it identified the need for a nationally coordinated activity to build national awareness of the critical importance of clinical software and appropriate use of data.
The ACIITC will undertake a series of events promoting awareness and training on digital health through March, April, and May 2022.
The national roadshow series will undertake to promote awareness and provide relevant information to the sector to improve the uptake of innovation and technology.
As a result of the national roadshow series, a comprehensive evaluation and impact analysis will be undertaken on these activities, including measuring improvements in digitally enabled care.
The first virtual event Building Digital Maturity in Aged and Community Care will be held:
Date: Tuesday 29 March 2022
Time: 10am-12:30 pm AEST
Platform: Zoom Webinar
Speakers will include representatives from the Australian Digital Health Agency, Leading Age Services Australia and the Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council.
