Aged care workers: where to get a COVID-19 booster shot near you

Must read

Are you an aged care worker looking to receive their third (or booster) dose of the COVID-19 vaccine?

The federal health department has just released a list of dedicated commonwealth worker vaccination hubs, now available to aged care workers in Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria.

Aged care workers who do not live in the vicinity of these hubs can request a priority appointment at:

  • State and territory vaccination clinics
  • Community pharmacies
  • General practices.

Receiving a booster dose is now mandated for all residential aged care workers in the Northern Territory, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia.

The health department strongly recommends getting a booster dose as soon as you are eligible: to protect yourself, your colleagues and senior Australians in your care.

Current health department advice suggests receiving your booster dose three months after your second dose.
