UnitingCare Queensland’s aged care provider Blue Care and village operator Lendlease are joining forces to develop and operate an integrated village and aged care community at Sunrise Beach, just south of Noosa, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Sunrise Beach Village will be home to a 102-bed two-storey aged care facility and 122 independent living units ranging between one-, two- and three-bedrooms.
It will include a village clubhouse, with facilities including swimming pool and wellness spaces, light and airy retirement villas and apartments all amongst vibrant and lush landscaping.
“With national park on one side and glittering beaches on the other, Sunrise Beach Village is a community defined by its nature-rich location, proximity to shops and services and sense of belonging,” Lendlease’s website said.
“Whether you’re into beach strolling, whale-watching, bush walking or ice-cream eating, this is a lifestyle conducive to all that and more.”
The 4.7-hectare retirement village will be adjacent to Noosa National Park (on its Western boundary) and located near Sunrise local shops, including medical services.
It will be within walking distance of Noosa Tennis Club (700m), Noosa Aquatic Centre (850m) and just 4.2km from Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort. Noosa Hospital is just 8km away and Hastings Street just 4kms.
The joint project will see Lendlease develop and operate the retirement living site on behalf of Blue Care, while Blue Care will develop the adjacent residential aged care facility.
“Together, we’re combining our decades of experience creating not only beautiful places to live but a ready-made community you’ll be proud to share,” Lendlease said.
