The Shoreline has welcomed former Nambucca Valley Care (now NVC Group) Chief Operating Officer Brett Kelly to its team.

Kelly has lived in Coffs Harbour with his wife for the last 24 years and brings a breadth orf experience and skill to the new role.

He’s a big believer in maintaining people’s respect and dignity, social engagement as well their physical and emotional wellbeing is paramount.

“For some this simply means getting a bit of extra help at home, for others it is a move to retirement living which offers improved social connections as well as more recreation time without the hassle of maintaining their home,” he said.

“Finally, for those who need more assistance, it is the comfort of knowing they will be cared for in a dignified way while still maintaining social connection and mental stimulation in a quality residential care environment.

“There is much to be done before welcoming our first residents and I am excited by the challenge,” he added.

The first two stages of the $150 million development, headed by the Bachrach Naumburger Group, are almost complete, consisting of 74 upmarket independent retirement units and a 120-bed aged care centre.

Upon full stage completion the retirement village, the biggest private development in Coffs Harbour’s history, will contain 185 independent living units and 120 aged care beds.
